The Stadium
One of the more historic stadiums to be used at the 2009 Championship is the Olympia Helsingborg. Holding 12,500 in capacity, the Olympia contains a past dating as far back as the 1958 World Cup. The stadium will host three Group A matches and a Semi-Final.

The Club
Helsingborgs IF play in the top Swedish league, with ex-Celtic and Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson now captain of the club. The team qualified for the Champions League in 2001, knocking out Italian giants Inter Milan in the process. Their main rivals are Malmo who are also hosting games in this year's Championship.

The City
Situated at the closest point to Denmark, the Danish city Elsinore is just 4km away over the Oresund Bridge. With a population of over 91,000 people, Helsingborg is a lively city which is at the centre of a lot of trading and business and has good transport links. The Tivoli situated by the sea in Helsingborg is a venue that offers the public the chance to view shows such as international music concerts.

Travel
Helsingborg has good transport links and like Malmo has easy access to the Oresund Bridge to get to Copenhagen. The public transport in the city is very good with regular buses, trams and trains to other destinations around Sweden. Famous footballing sons of the city include Larsson and ex-Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry player Roland Nilsson.
