A vacancy is available at the Gloucestershire CFA.
The Gloucestershire County FA are looking to appoint a County Development Manager. The position reports directly to the Chief Executive and will lead the football development staff to co-ordinate and deliver the National Game Strategy within the County.
The role encompasses the following areas:-
• Strategic planning and business development.
• Leadership and professional development of the football and referee development staff.
• Development and delivery of the County Strategy.
o Growth and retention - Increasing and sustaining participation.
o Raising standards - creating a safe and positive environment.
o Better players - developing better players with a focus on the 5-11 age group.
o Running the game - leading and governing the game efficiently.
o Workforce development - recruiting and supporting a skilled and diverse football workforce, including coaches and referees.
o Facilities and investment - working with the Football Foundation and other investment partners to improve the quality and access to football facilities.
You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. In addition you must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to positively influence at all levels, with a proven track record of managing staff. You will also need to have a current driving licence and be able to work evenings and weekends.
Salary from £27000 - dependent upon experience. 37.5 hours per week
This post is a fixed term contract until 30 June 2011 with a view to it being extended beyond this date. The post is also subject to completion of a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure check.
