Who Can Take Part?
Whatever your previous knowledge, experience or interest in football we’re sure that there is a course to suit your needs.
Our aim is to improve the understanding and skills of everybody involved in football but we can only achieve this if we have designed courses that cater for those at every level of the game.
So whether you’re just starting out in your first season as Park Rangers Under-11s coach, a qualified physio at a professional club or looking to get into refereeing, we are confident that there is a course aimed to meet your needs.
Where do Courses take Place?
The majority of FA courses are managed and run by the 50 County Football Associations throughout the country. This ensures that there are always plenty of opportunities for people who wish to take a course at a nearby location.
All the courses deliver the same content and you can be assured that all the tutors have been trained and verified by The FA to ensure that each student receives a consistent delivery to the highest standards.
In most cases the courses will be run over a number of weeks. This allows the student to spread the time they take out to go on a course into manageable periods, enabling busy individuals to ensure their football educational needs can still be met as peoples lives get ever busier.
For those wishing to complete the course quickly, many County FAs run intensive courses over fewer weeks or in a weekend, often during the summer months.
As well as County FA run courses, The FA runs over 50 national courses a year. These courses are delivered from central locations at accredited sports centres such as Lilleshall and Warwick University by fully trained and verified FA tutors over an intensive time period.
The content and delivery style does not differ from locally run courses. The major difference is that the time period for taking the course is much shorter - often only two days - while the courses all offer residential facilities so that students can be based at the same location for the entirety of the courses duration.
A range of discounts is available to FACA members, individuals who book early and those who book online using their credit card.
