Apply now for new six-hour FA Learning course.
The FA is to introduce a new course in 2010 entitled Mentoring Adults, which will be aimed at FA Charter Standard Community Clubs as part of their ongoing training and development to retain their Charter Standard status. Club Coaches attending this six-hour course will then mentor other coaches within their club.
The course content is currently under review but will be determined by The FA’s Football Development Team by the end of the year.
The FA now wishes to seek applications from its current stock of licensed tutors to deliver this new course in the New Year, so long as the potential tutors are both Generic Tutor Training qualified and are a minimum Level 2 qualified licensed tutor.
This will be an open recruitment process and tutors are currently being recruited.
There will be a two-day course familiarisation during January 2010 with regional co-tutoring opportunities between February and July 2010 with the support of the Regional Coach Development Managers. Tutors must demonstrate a commitment to deliver three courses per year when signed off and a further commitment to ongoing CPD events.
The application pack, together with the Information Pack are on the Football Family web site. The completed applications should then be returned to
TutorTrainingQuery@TheFA.com by Friday 27 November 2009. Applications will be considered early in December and successful applicants advised soon after.
