Two new FA Learning national courses start at Wokefield Park this week.
This week sees the start of two FA Learning national courses at Wokefield Park, a new FA Learning venue near Reading and both the International Coaching Licence and the UEFA A Licence will be delivered at the DeVere venue.
The International Course, which started on Monday, welcomes students from countries including Botswana, USA, Japan and Morocco. The course will last for three weeks while students learn to develop coaching skills such as match analysis, attitudes and ethics and football fitness. The international students will also attend two Barclays Premier League matches including Fulham v Chelsea this Sunday.
As a world class leader in football education, FA Learning is proud to deliver the International Coaching Licence to coaches from overseas, sharing knowledge and expertise to develop football globally.
The UEFA A Licence also starts this week and is regarded as one of the highest coaching awards in the game. The course consists of 240 hours of learning over two, two-week residential courses.
There are currently 25 coaches embarking on the first residential portion of the course at the venue. These coaches will be taken through an intensive programme of both theory and practical based work, designed to develop their competency in the following areas: organisation, session management, diagnosis and communication.
The course will cover a multitude of topics, such as goalkeeping, attacking and defending at set-plays, zonal defending, pressurising, and counter-attacking. Other pertinent areas, such as match analysis, strategies and tactics, communication skills, psychology, and fitness will also be covered on this course.
