Get Into Football

Money available for funding

The Football Foundation’s core business is providing grants towards building better local football and sports facilities.

Foundation grants are awarded to a wide range of organisations to improve their facilities. These might be local football clubs and sports associations, or they could be schools and local authorities.

Grants are given to help pay for the construction of new 3G artificial grass pitches, changing pavilions, Multi-Use Games Areas or pitch drainage for grass playing surfaces.

The Football Foundation receives £15m a year from each of its funding partners – The Football Association, the Premier League and Government. Since its launch in July 2000, the Foundation has funded more than 1,200 facility projects worth over £500m.
