The FA are running a coaching course in Futsal in August.
Friday, 11 July 2008.
It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s Futsal – and now you can learn how this super-quick game of football is played.
Any spectators at the recent FA UMBRO Futsal Cup in Sheffield could vouch for that and it's a game that once you've tasted, you'll be left wanting some more!
The FA is committed to developing the FIFA and UEFA approved format of Small Sided Football – Futsal and to support the development of the game in England, The FA has devised an introductory six hour coaching course which will take place at various at The Score Centre in Leyton, east London next month.
The course will enable any coach to fully understand and appreciate the fundamentals and benefits of Futsal in terms of player development, be able to organise and coach the basic skills and techniques and also understand the basic principles of the game and its laws.
It will consist of four hours of practical training and a further two hours of theory and is an open access course, although in order to be certificated, candidates must hold one of the existing FA Coaching Awards and therefore have attended one of the following: an existing FA Coaching Qualification, FA Child Protection module or an FA Emergency First Aid course.
Those on the course will also receive a Futsal DVD, laws of the game booklet and Course Tutor notes about key skills and drills.
You can book your place on the course now, or for more details click here (but remember to check the admission requirements before registering).
