Mentee Development Programme coaches gain experience with England C
Last month, two coaches from this year's Mentee Development Programme joined the England C camp in preparation for an International Challenge friendly match against Wales C.
Ebrahim Seedat and Irfan Kawri, who joined the programme this season, were welcomed onto the camp to coach the team and observe how manager Paul Fairclough planned sessions and prepared the team for the occasion.
Ebrahim is currently Head Coach at Balham FC, while Irfan has several years of experience across a range of disciplines in the game.
The experience gained by both coaches aligns to the wider goals of the Mentee Development Programme in providing opportunities for coaches from historically underrepresented groups to develop and thrive in the game.
Butch Fazal, programme-lead and FA Coach Inclusion & Diversity Manager commented: "This is groundbreaking to see four coaches from a South Asian heritage working in the England C camp, I am really grateful to Laurence Jones and James Earle from The FA and England C Paul Fairclough for making the coaches feel so welcome and included."
