A positive and memorable first experience
- The Boot Room
- 21 February 2019
We want children to be active and healthy, with a positive lifelong relationship with sport.
To help, it's essential that we deliver an enjoyable and memorable first experience of football – and of being coached.
Creating a secure environment is a great place to start. The first step is to remember it's not all about the game. Relationships are just as important, so be kind and caring towards your players (and their parents). This matters because, when your team feel safe and valued, development is more likely to take place.
The England DNA puts your players, and their needs, at the centre of all learning. We want children to develop into the adult players, supporters, coaches and referees of the future. We want them to fall in love with football.
