Why can’t we play futsal: overloads
- The Boot Room
- 10 December 2019
In the third part of a series focusing on the benefits of playing futsal, particularly in winter, The Boot Room looks at how the game can shape your training sessions.
Futsal is a game that constantly creates overloads, which will give you the opportunity to shape your practices to include plenty of these situations. Players can then explore how to be successful when an overload has been created and hopefully this will transfer into the games and matches that they play.
Individual as well as team challenges can be used to help support players with a particular aspect of their development.
Watch the video below to see how a coach has used futsal to create a practice based on overloads.
