The FA People’s Cup is just one of several FA initiatives designed to get more people playing football regardless of their gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability or disability.
With 15 categories available to enter, including the addition of a female walking football category, this season’s FA People’s Cup will continue to create playing opportunities for some of the most under-represented demographics in football.
Part of the decision to increase playing provisions for adult females in The FA People’s Cup includes the removal of the U14 and U16 male and female categories.
Anybody under the age of 16 wishing to give football a try can instead benefit from initiatives such as the SSE Wildcats programme and the McDonald’s Fun Football programme, as well as joining one of the hundreds of FA Charter Standard football clubs playing in organised leagues across the country. Those wanting to get involved can visit TheFA.com to find their nearest playing opportunity.
No, you don’t all need the same kit (although we encourage it!) as bibs will be available to distinguish teams. All that is required is that players, including goalkeepers, must be wearing appropriate footwear and shin pads.
Please refer to our Small Sided Football Laws of the Game for all relevant match rules and regulations. Specific information for the college Futsal leagues can be found here.
The rules for walking football are a little bit different and can be found here.
Football boots with moulded or astro turf trainers are permitted. Team members will not be permitted to wear football boots with blades or non-moulded studs (wet or dry weather).
No, this competition is for amateurs only. Please see our T's & C's for full eligibility information.
