Marcus was first called into the England senior squad in September 2018 to bolster the goalkeeping ranks for games with Spain and Switzerland.
The Fulham stopper had previously worked under Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate when he was part of the U21s squad who qualified for the Euro Finals of 2015 in Czech Republic where he was one of three goalkeepers selected alongside Jack Butland and Jonathan Bond.
An affable character around the squad and a thorough professional on the training ground, his impressive form with the Cottagers, following their promotion back into the top flight in 2018, thrust the south Londoner firmly back into international contention
