Wayne Rooney led a fine day of goal-getting for England players - scoring twice in Manchester United's 2-2 draw at Tottenham.
Sunday's four Premier League fixtures served up 15 goals - and eight were delivered by Three Lions internationals past and present.
Rooney has been in superb form of late, having assisted four goals at Bayer Leverkusen in midweek, and he continued that at White Hart Lane.
England right-back Kyle Walker had given Tottenham with a thunderous free-kick driven underneath the United wall.
But Rooney levelled from close range, and although Sandro put Tottenham back in front, the United talisman was at it again, making it 2-2 from the penalty spot.
Three Lions skipper Steven Gerrard scored a fine free-kick but that was not enough to prevent Liverpool from slipping to a 3-1 defeat at Hull City.
England international Jake Livermore - on loan from Tottenham - scored the first for Hull in a fine team display, and Tom Huddlestone was unlucky to have his successful shot classified as a Martin Skrtel own goal.
Elsewhere, three Englishmen were on the scoresheet at Stamford Bridge.
Jay Rodriguez, who won his first international cap against Chile last month, fired Southampton in front after just 13 seconds but Gary Cahill and John Terry put Chelsea in front before Demba Ba grabbed a third.
In the day's other top-flight game, Jonjo Shelvey could not prevent Swansea from slipping to a 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.
Meanwhile in the Championship, Derby County came out comfortable 3-1 winners at Wigan Athletic.
The mooted face-off between the Manchester United's and England Under-21's Keane twins, Will and Michael, who are on loan at Wigan and Derby, never materialised, but Will Hughes played a key role for Derby.
And another United loanee at Wigan, Nick Powell, scored a consolation goal for the Latics.
