Sam Clucas has won the latest FA Cup Player of the Round award
Sam Clucas has picked up the latest FA Cup with Budweiser Player of the Round award.
The Mansfield Town striker collected 35 per cent of the public vote after scoring four times to help the Stags beat St Albans City 8-1 in the First Round Proper.
He netted all of his goals in a 16-minute spell at the end of the game to secure a resounding win.
Clucas topped the poll ahead of Macclesfield’s Connor Jennings, Brackley’s Alastair Worby and Stevenage striker Francois Zoko.
He will now receive a commemorative Player of the Round trophy and will be invited to this season’s Cup Final as a guest of Budweiser and The FA.
Mansfield travel to Oldham in the Second Round on Saturday.
