England delegation arrive at Costa do Suaipe

Club England managing director Adrian Bevington says nothing is set in stone regarding travel and training arrangements around the World Cup, and all plans would be finalised following discussions over the coming days.

England were paired in Group D alongside Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica at Friday's draw in Costa do Suaipe.

The Three Lions kick off their campaign against Italy in the heat and humidity of Manaus, before travelling to Sao Paulo to face Uruguay, and Belo Horizonte to take on Costa Rica

Despite having to make the journey north for the opening game, Bevington was adament the draw could have been worse for Roy Hodgson's men.

England's fixtures (BST)

  • Italy, 14 June KO 11pm
  • Uruguay, 19 June KO 8pm
  • Costa Rica, 24 June KO 5pm

Speaking to BBC Radio Five Live, he said: "Manaus is a big journey into the Amazon, but the other two games are both relatively close to our base in Rio.

"We will re-group this evening and go through things, then we have a meeting with Roy and his backroom staff in 10 days' time.

"Once we have played the game in Manaus, we will then fly back. Then, we are within an hour's flight for the two other games.

"We consider all options at the moment. In reality, we would have to consider the quality of training grounds in Manaus if we were to fly directly from Miami a few days earlier instead of travelling there from Rio de Janeiro."
