The FA is delighted to announce that on Thursday 19 December it will host a grassroots question and answer session through the official @FA Twitter channel.
Thursday marks the 150th anniversary of the first football match played under FA rules, when Barnes and Richmond met at Limes Field in south-west London in 1863 to contest a game played under the unified rules championed by The FA’s first General Secretary, Ebenezer Morley.
As part of The FA’s recognition of the significance of this momentous day in the history of the game, there will first be a special ceremony conducted at the graveside of Ebenezer Morley – and then in the afternoon the opportunity to pose questions via social media to some of the modern day key administrators.
The grassroots Twitter takeover will run between 2.30pm and 6pm on Thursday.

2.30pm – Dermot Collins (FA Respect Manager) will be answering questions about the Respect Programme
3pm – Kelly Simmons (Director of the National Game & Women’s Football) will be discussing a range of grassroots topics
4pm – Nick Levett (National Development Manager) will respond to youth review related questions
4.45pm – Les Howie (Head of Grassroots Coaching) will be answering coaching questions
5.30pm – Peter Kay (Senior Facilities and Investment Manager) will be answering queries about facility development in England
