It was a busy night in The FA Youth Cup on Wednesday, with ties being played across two rounds of the coveted trophy.
In the Third Round Qualifying, Bristol Academy triumphed comfortably over visiting Tiverton Town with a 4-1 win.
The evening's three other matches were in the First Round Proper and it was a trio of teams on away trips that earned progression.
York City went to Macclesfield Town and left late in the night with a 3-0 win. Tom Chamberlain turned and finished to put the visitors 1-0 up with half an hour on the clock to give them a dream start.
And after the break, Jordan Outerbridge finished smartly to make it 2-0 before Ollie Smith sprinted clear, rounded the 'keeper and slotted the ball home to complete the scoring and set-up a tough looking test away at Preston North End.
Sheffield United and Oldham Athletic finished at 2-2, before the young Blades kept their cool to win 4-3 on penalties.
And Oxford United secured their place in the hat for Round Two thanks to two goals from midfielder Josh Ashby and a header from U16 defender Cain McCormack.
