David Meyler has won the Budweiser Player of the Round award following his performance against Sunderland.
The Hull City midfielder scored the second goal as Steve Bruce’s men defeated their Premier League rivals 3-0 in The FA Cup Sixth Round to book the Tigers only their second ever Semi-Final appearance.
Irish international Meyler beat former team-mate Lee Cattermole to a loose ball just inside the Black Cats’ half, burst forward and kept his composure to slot a low shot beyond Oscar Ustari.
Meyler earned the majority of the public vote ahead of Wigan Athletic duo Emmerson Boyce and James Perch and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud. He will now receive a commemorative Player of the Round trophy.
Hull take on Sheffield United in the last four at Wembley on Sunday 13 April.
