England Women's U17s drew with Denmark on Tuesday

England Women's U17s played their second game of this week’s UEFA Development Tournament at St. George’s Park on Tuesday evening, drawing 1-1 with Denmark.

After their opening game defeat against Poland on Sunday, Brent Hills’ side responded in just the way he would have wanted as Birmingham City striker Charlie Wellings put England ahead in the 18th minute.

The Danes found an equaliser just before the half-hour mark to draw themselves level and when the game finished 1-1 it was down to penalties.

And the sides still couldn’t be separated, with both teams scoring four out of five of their spot kicks to end the match all square.

The Young Lionesses will play their third and final match of the tournament on Friday morning, when they face Switzerland.
