Harry Kane celebrated his first Premier League start for Spurs with a goal on Monday night, helping his side to a 5-1 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane.
The England Under-21 striker has been waiting for his chance to impress under both previous coach Andre Villas-Boas and current boss Tim Sherwood this season.
And after being handed his full Premier League debut, he didn’t let anyone down by putting Spurs 2-1 up in the second half and paving the way for another three goals.
"I'm buzzing to have got my first start in the Premier League for Spurs and I'm buzzing to have got a goal at White Hart Lane," admitted the 20-year-old, who has three goals in four appearances for Gareth Southgate's Under-21s.
"It put us 2-1 ahead and as soon as I scored it, the emotions started coming out.
"I've been waiting patiently this season so to get that goal was a very proud moment.
"I've been waiting for my chance and training well so I wanted to show I was ready."
Kane has been a regular for the Three Lions at U17, U19, U20 and Under-21 level and has also featured for Spurs in the Europa League over the last few years.
But the former Leyton Orient, Millwall and Leicester City loanee reckons his goal on Monday topped everything else.

"It's been the best feeling of my career so far, without a doubt," he told Spurs TV.
"To get that Premiership goal is the top of the top and hopefully now I can push on and get a few more."
Kane will be hoping to be part of Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 squad to face Wales next month, before travelled to the Toulon Tournament.
The Young Lions take on Wales on Monday 19 May before heading to Toulon where they will face Qatar, Colombia, Brazil and South Korea.
