Bryn Morris will lead England U18s into their final match of the season on Wednesday night when they face Germany in Rotherham.
The Middlesbrough midfielder has been a regular captain for Neil Dewsnip’s side in a busy campaign which has seen them take on a fuller programme of fixtures than in previous years.
And Morris believes it has been a useful exercise for the Young Lions, who have played the likes of Croatia, Belgium and Hungary at St. George’s Park.

Morris said: "It’s been a good season for us.
"Coddy [Middlesbrough ‘keeper Luke Coddington] in the year above me said that they only played two games with the U18s last season, so I didn’t really expect to have so many games.
"We started off with a good performance against Hungary and then Belgium and I thought we were unfortunate to lose against Croatia in our last two matches."
With the previous matches all taking place behind closed doors at St. George’s Park, Wednesday’s game will be the first time the U18s have had the chance to perform at a stadium.
And with over 8,000 fans expected at the New York Stadium, Morris is looking forward to what should be a lively atmosphere in South Yorkshire.
"It’s obviously better to play at a stadium for us, in order to get used to it for the future," he told the official matchday programme.
"As you progress in your career, you want to play in stadiums and in front of crowds so it’s a good experience to start younger.
"I expect them [Germany] to be strong and physical but also technical as well.
"But with the players in our team, we have the ability to beat anyone so if we turn up on the day we can match them and beat them I think.
"I don’t think we should be afraid of them or go into the game thinking that we can’t get a result."
