Chelsea booked their place in The FA Women’s Cup Semi-Final with a 3-1 win over FA WSL rivals Manchester City.
Laura Coombs volleyed the Blues ahead in the seventh minute but City were level five minutes later as Toni Duggan converted from the spot after Jill Scott was brought down by Katie Chapman.
Emma Hayes’s new-look charges went in front again just after the quarter-hour mark when Eniola Aluko beat two defenders and then rounded Andrea Worrall to slot home.
And after Duggan and Natasha Flint missed decent chances for a second equaliser, Chapman completed the win midway through the second half with a header.
City responded well in the closing stages and Flint hit the post with a fierce shot ten minutes from time.
But Chelsea, losing Finalists in 2012, held on to book their place in the last four where they will face either Birmingham City or Arsenal, who are set to play on Sunday 4 May.
