Aaron Ramsey says he and his Arsenal team-mates want to experience the “winning” Wembley feeling again in The FA Community Shield on Sunday.
The Gunners, who won The FA Cup thanks to Ramsey’s winning goal in a 3-2 win over Hull City in May, return to the National Stadium on Sunday to take on Premier League champions Manchester City.
Having fired the club to their first piece on silverware in nine years, and with a squad boasting three World Cup winners, Ramsey is determined to kick-off the new season in style by lifting The Shield.

“The feeling we got after winning the FA Cup was something special and I’m sure that everybody wants the same thing again this season,” the Wales international said. “We’ll be giving it everything to win a few things this year.
“A win [on Sunday] will be important. Games at Wembley are always special and we want to win for our supporters, and to start the new season in the right way.
“Having a winning feeling going into a tough opening couple of games in the Premier League can only help us. It will be a great test for me personally and I’m really looking forward to it.”
And as the season’s kick-off draws nearer, Ramsey is hoping for another unforgettable day at Wembley ahead of the new campaign.
“We want to put in a big performance, get the season off on the right foot and for our supporters as well.
“I’m sure it’ll [Last season’s FA Cup win] make us even more hungry to go on and win more things too. The feeling in the stadium was incredible. Being out there after the final whistle, celebrating with the players and the supporters is something I’ll never forget I think.
“The next morning we were on a bus heading around Islington with hundreds of thousands of fans on the streets. That really brought home how much it meant to everyone. To see that was something very special.”
