The Everton defender was first called into Gareth Southgate’s squad for the game against Wales in Swansea in May, when he made his bow in a 3-1 victory.
And he’s since become a regular member of the squad as the Three Lions completed their Euro Qualifiers campaign with successive victories over Lithuania and Moldova.
He was also one of the most impressive performers for the U20s at the Toulon Tournament in May and June, where England finished in fourth spot at the annual competition in southern France.
Previously capped by England through all levels from U16s up to the Under-21s, Garbutt was no stranger to the international scene prior to Southgate selecting him.
With a wicked set-piece delivery and eagerness to support the attack with his over-lapping runs, the former Leeds United youngster and Colchester United loanee is highly regarded at Goodison Park.
And as the back-up choice for Roberto Martinez to England left-back Leighton Baines, he’s certainly able to learn from one of the best in the business.
