The defender was part of the Arsenal squad which won The FA Cup at Wembley, but rather than take part in a open-top bus parade around north London the following day, he headed to St. George’s Park to join Three Lions squad instead.

And just over 24 hours later he was on the pitch at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea to help England to a 3-1 win over Wales and take a step closer to Euro qualification.
Midway through the year, Jenkinson swapped the Emirates Stadium for West Ham United after signing on loan at the Boleyn Ground in a bid to play more first-team football.
He has become a regular in Sam Allardyce’s team this season and also remains a popular member of Gareth Southgate’s Under-21s squad.
The former Charlton Athletic right-back even got himself on the scoresheet last month, by netting England’s second goal in their 3-1 win over Portugal at Burnley’s Turf Moor.
