Andy Carroll headed West Ham United to victory over Swansea City on Sunday with his first goals since March.
The 25-year-old striker, who hasn't featured for England since October 2012, has missed much of this season due to injury but was back in action last month.
And at Upton Park his brace against the Swans helped Sam Allardyce's side come from a goal down to win 3-1 and move them up to third in the Premier League.
The first arrived just before half-time when England Under-21s defender Carl Jenkinson delivered a perfect cross towards Carroll arriving at the far post.
Stewart Downing, who made his first England appearance for over two years in last month's win in Glasgow, provided the assist for their second.
His 66th-minute corner was not dealt with by the Swansea defence and Carroll had a free header to give the Hammers the lead.
Not content with two goals, the former Newcastle United and Liverpool man headed on a goal-kick towards Diafra Sakho who clinched victory against ten-man Swansea.
"It was a tough game and I was getting held a bit but we got the two goals and got the win,'' Carroll said after the game.
"It means a lot to the lads and it obviously means a lot to get back on the scoresheet.
“I've got two today it means a great deal.”

''I've played a few games and I have felt like I am back but obviously, until you score, you don't feel you're definitely back. Now I've got two today it means a great deal.''
And boss Allardyce was also full of praise for Carroll and the England duo who helped provide his goals.
"His movement and the quality of our balls into the box is very apparent," said Allardyce.
"He is 100 per cent fit because he played all the games this week and his recovery has been good. Because he scored two it will make you run around more to try and get the hat-trick."
He added: "In final-third areas we score so many goals because of the quality of our crossing from Downing, Jenkinson and Cresswell."
