The FA Women's Premier League returns
The FA Women’s Premier League Division One returns this weekend as the build-up towards Christmas continues.

Liverpool Marshall Feds LFC go into their home fixture against Chester Le Street LFC seven points clear at the top of The FA WPL Division One Northern table.

Guiseley AFC Vixens, who can move within a point of the leaders should they win their two games in hand, will be looking to continue their own fine run of form against Tranmere Rovers LFC.

And third-placed Chorley LFC, who have scored 25 goals whilst conceding just one since November, will be hoping they can call upon top scorer Victoria Coope as they go in search of three points against Norton & Stockton Ancients LFC.

The same fortunes cannot be felt at Mossley Hill LFC – they have to go back to early November to recall their last victory and now face a testing trip to Leeds LFC on Sunday as they attempt to turn their fortunes around.

Morecambe LFC will be hopeful they can pick up all three points as they face a Middlesbrough LFC side struggling to find form and sitting second from bottom. Stockport County LFC travel to the most out-of-form club in Sheffield United Community LFC, who have managed just one point from their opening six games of the season. The Hatters goalkeeper Leanne Ashton-Smith will be confident of keeping a clean sheet, with The Blades managing just six goals all season.

Moving on to The FA WPL Division One Midlands and leaders Loughborough Foxes WFC host third-placed Leafield Athletic LFC in a top-of-the-table clash between first and third place. With just two points separating the two sides, the match on Sunday promises to be an exciting spectacle with both teams looking to reach the league’s summit.

Another side keeping one eye on the top spot will be Leicester City WFC, who will host city rivals Leicester City LFC this weekend, in what promises to be a thrilling derby clash.

Fifth-placed Solihull LFC will play hosts to Loughborough Students WFC, with Radcliffe Olympic LFC chasing away at their heels as they travel to bottom of the league Curzon Ashton LFC, who so far have lost all of their 12 games this season. Olympic striker Danielle Saulter will be looking to add to her increasing goal scoring tally of ten, playing against a side who have conceded 53 goals already this season.

Current leaders of the WPL South East Division One, C & K Basildon LFC welcome Maidenhead United Ladies to the Selex Sport and Leisure Club this Sunday as eleven-goal Zoe Rushen looks to add to her impressive tally and inspire a home win.

The FA WPL South West Division One has already seen over 150 goals scored, with 30 coming from leaders Swindon Town LFC, and they’ll be hoping to fire in more when they host mid-table club Shanklin LFC, who have only found the target eight times so far this season.

One of the most anticipated games of the weekend’s fixture lists will be between Forest Green Rovers LFC and Southampton Saints LFC, which represents a second v third tie with both looking to close the gap on the league leaders.
