Kidderminster progressed into the Second Round of The FA Trophy with a comfortable 4-1 win away to Bradford Park Avenue on Monday.

Goals from Marvin Johnson, Josh Gowling, Callum Gittings and Craig Reid sealed the victory, and despite the hosts pulling one back through Danny Frost late on, they were no match for the rampant Harriers.

There were just eight minutes on the clock when Johnson pounced to give his side the lead with his sixth goal of the season.

Gowling added to the visitors’ tally 10 minutes later, timing his run to perfection as he rose to nod home Reid’s corner.

No further goals arrived in the opening half, but Gittings made things a little more comfortable on 57 minutes, pulling the trigger to fire a curving strike into the top right-hand corner.

Twelve minutes later it was Reid’s turn to get on the scoresheet, finishing with a low shot into the bottom corner after a pass from Kyle Storer.

In the dying minutes Frost notched what proved to be nothing more than a consolation for Park Avenue.

Gary Whild’s Kidderminster will now face Altrincham at home in the next round, to be played on Saturday 10 January.
