England Women stormed to qualification for the 2015 World Cup
Check out our review of 2014 featuring all of England's representative teams.

The Men's side started with victories over Denmark and Peru, but suffered a disappointing group-stage exit at the summer's FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

But Roy Hodgson's men bounced back, winning their next six matches to finish the year at the top of their qualifying group for the 2016 European Championship.

Mark Sampson took over at the helm of the Women's team and they qualified for next year's World Cup in perfect style, winning 10 out of 10 qualification matches.

The Lionesses capped their year by playing world champions Germany in front of a 45,000 crowd at Wembley Stadium.

England U17s won the European Championship in Malta, while the Under-21s booked their place at the Euros in the Czech Republic next summer.

And England finished runners-up in the European Powerchair Nations Cup, while the Blind team received a major funding boost ahead of next year's Euros with a £1m training pitch installed at St. George's Park.
