Six Third Round ties took place on Sunday

Rachel Furness scored twice as Sunderland moved into the Fourth Round of The FA Women’s Cup with a comfortable 5-1 win over Oxford.

The Northern Ireland international put the Black Cats ahead early and Rebekah Bass doubled the advantage shortly after.

Oxford pulled a goal back through , but Furness’ second goal restored the hosts two-goal lead.

And England youngsters Abbey Joice and Beth Mead completed the win for the 2009 runners-up.

A Victoria Williams penalty and a Beth England strike ensured Gordon Staniforth’s first competitive game in charge of Doncaster Rovers Belles ended in victory, as the Belles knocked out fellow FA WSL side Aston Villa.

The adverse weather caused a number of postponements, but Portsmouth, Coventry, Durham and Copsewood Coventry Ladies also booked their place in Round Four, the draw for which takes place on Monday.

West Ham United defeated C&K Basildon Ladies after a penalty shoot-out in their delayed Second Round tie.

Third Round results
