Fans worldwide could give you a list as long as your arm of their favourite FA Cup goals, but there’s nothing quite like a thumping free-kick to get you out of your seat.
Be it Paul Gascoigne’s thunderbolt strike for Tottenham Hotspur against Arsenal in the Semi-Final in 1991 to Kevin Sheedy’s pearler for Everton against Ipswich Town in 1985, a goal direct from a set-piece never fails to set the pulse racing.
This season’s FA Cup has already seen some crackers, with Oscar’s right-footed drive for Chelsea against Stoke City in The Fourth Round proving that the art of scoring from a free-kick is still in full swing.
