As well as the game at the Etihad between the title favourites, the other two members of the top four - Liverpool and Arsenal - were also drawn together and Mourinho said it makes the weekend ahead extra special.
Speaking ahead of the Fifth Round weekend, the Portuguese, who won the first FA Cup at the new Wembley in 2007 said: "The FA Cup is beautiful for everybody and the draw made it even more so, because two big teams will be knocked out."

Mourinho's side travel to rivals Manchester City on Saturday and will be hoping for a repeat of the 1-0 Premier League victory the Blues recorded at the same venue on 3 February - but warned it would not be easy.
"It's not easy to play consecutive matches against the same team," he added.
"You try to read the previous game and try to improve things, try to analyse mistakes and the opposition, and you can be influenced by the direction a game took.
"I don't know what he [Manuel Pellegrini] thought of the game, but playing the way they play they are strong even if they change.
"At Stamford Bridge they played differently with one striker and five midfield players.

Jose Mourinho
"He's a good manager and for sure he'll try to make the best decision for his team. We don't want or need a replay. We are not going there to try to get a draw and bring the game to Stamford Bridge. We want to try to win."
Mourinho will wait to assess the fitness of Gary Cahill, who picked up a calf injury during the 1-1 midweek draw at West Brom.
The England defender's chances are rated as 50/50, while John Terry, who missed the game with a knock is expected to recover.
David Luiz likely to partner Terry at the back should Cahill not recover.
