Arsenal Ladies have further bolstered their squad by signing Dutch international Anouk Hoogendijk from Ajax.
The 28-year-old was a member of the Bristol Academy squad in 2011 and has earned 94 caps for Holland.
Hoogendijk is the Gunners’ third major pre-season signing, following the arrival of England captain Casey Stoney and Three Lions goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain.
She said: "I’m excited to be returning to England and to have the chance to play for Arsenal Ladies.
"They are one of the leading women’s club’s in the game, with an amazing history, so it is a real privilege to have signed for them.
"I am looking forward to meeting my new team mates and preparing for the 2014 season."
