The draw for the Fourth Round Proper of The FA Carlsberg Trophy on Monday has given us two clear-cut ties.
The senior non-League competition, now in its 45th season, has reached its quarter-final stage and it is certain to have a new winner.
Grimsby Town were runners-up to Wrexham in last season’s Wembley showpiece, watched by 35,000, and their reward for edging Maidenhead United 2-1 on Saturday is another home tie – against the winners of Tuesday night’s replay between Chorley and Tamworth.

Aldershot Town are now well in credit in 20th place in the Conference Premier and are going well in The Trophy.

Eastleigh will host the winners of the replay clash between the top two Conference Premier sides, Cambridge United and Luton Town.
North Ferriby United, meanwhile, the 1997 FA Carlsberg Vase Finalists who had a spectacular 4-0 win at Lincoln City at the weekend, welcome Gosport Borough to Church Road.
