The final is just four games away

Wisbech Town co-manager Paul Cousins has revealed he has been making the most of YouTube ahead of his side's FA Vase Fourth Round Proper against with Ashington on Saturday.

The United Counties League Premier Division outfit will head north to face Ashington on Saturday, who also compete in the ninth tier of English football in the Northern League Division One.

Cousins has not personally scouted his side's forthcoming opponents but hopes he will be boosted by a bit of online research and some insider knowledge from a contemporary.

He said: "I know a bit about them. I've seen a lot of clips of them on YouTube and other clips that some people have given to me.

"They're just going to be a strong physical side. I believe they played AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who are in our league, last season and I think they beat them 2-1. So I've got a bit of information from the Diamonds manager.

"I'm expecting a tough match. They're firm favourites for the whole competition so it will be a very tough game."

Wisbech have fallen at the Fourth Round hurdle in each of the last three seasons and Cousins is desperate to go at least one step further this time around.

He added: "We want to go as far as we can. We've got to theFourth Round Proper for the last three seasons on the trot. We just want to go a step further, if not all the way.

"If we keep playing more games together and keep winning, then that can only breed more confidence."

Cousins was recently joined by Dick Creasey in the dug-out and he has welcomed his co-manager's return to Wisbech.

"Creasey has fitted in very well. He's been here before and he actually signed me to Wisbech eight years ago," he concluded.
