England U17s Head Coach John Peacock says he was more pleased with the performance of his side than the result against Belgium.
After a goalless first-half on Tuesday, his side fell behind on the hour mark but showed their fighting spirit as they battled back to deservedly turn the game on its head a secure a 2-1 victory thanks to two goals from Dominic Solanke.

Peacock said: “The result is always pleasing when you win a game, but I got more out of the general performance.
“I thought it was lessons learned from the first-half, the Belgians did very well. We made our own mistakes by trying to force the ball, but going one nil down and coming back shoes some character.
“It was two very good goals that won us the game and all in all it was a really good exercise.”
Peacock’s squad included several new members and he says their performances have given him a nice problem for future.
He added: “We’ve had a few new caps starting and it’s nice to see some new faces, and we can see the depth and quality of the squad now and they’ve given a good account of themselves.
“It does give me a few problems, but good problems.”
