Colin Gordon's side were competing in the inaugural EPFA Nations Cup at the University of Limerick Sports Arena in Ireland.

Finishing runners-up in the group stage, England beat Belgium 5-1 in the semi-finals to secured their place in the Final where they were to meet the unbeaten French.

The Three Lions were looking to respond to their 6-2 defeat to France on Saturday, but were soon behind when Weiss scored twice in the opening 15 minutes.

The game is played over two equal periods of 20 minutes by teams of four players using powerchairs fitted with footguards to manoeuver the ball across the opposing team's goal-line.

And it was France who continued the scoring in the second half, adding three more goals thanks to Ghelami, Delmas and Reniers.

In the end, England had to make do with a creditable silver medal as the French were crowned champions.
