The 21-year-old had mixed fortunes at the Boleyn Ground last season, after impressing in the first half of the campaign with some eye-catching performances and goals, before ending the term on loan in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers.

And Allardyce had expressed doubts earlier in the summer as to whether the former Manchester United midfielder would fit into his plans for the new season.
But after missing West Ham’s pre-season trip to New Zealand following surgery on a groin problem, Morrison now been challenged by Allardyce to prove his worth on and off the pitch to win back his place in the team.
"We thought we'd brought Ravel to the forefront of his abilities this time last season," revealed Allardyce, speaking to talkSPORT radio.
"He had a fantastic pre-season and started the season very well.
"That drifted away a bit and he ended up at QPR, helping them get promoted.
"But if he gets back to knuckling down and getting used to the discipline side of the game, then his talents are outstanding."
Morrison was a regular in Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 squad last season, after previously being capped at U16, U17 and U18 level, and he will be hoping to be involved in the Three Lions' final Euro qualifiers against Lithuania and Moldova in September.
