Thirteen players who helped England win a silver medal at last year’s European U19 Championship have been called upon by Mo Marley for the annual U23 Nordic Tournament.

Among the 13 are Aston Villa midfielder, and former U19 captain, Sherry McCue, Everton duo Nikita Parris and Gabrielle George and Birmingham City forward Mel Lawley.

There is also room for Arsenal’s Leah Williamson, who has featured a number of times for the Gunners first team this season, and Dan Carter, who has already earned seven caps for the U23s.

England take on host nation Sweden on Monday 16 June and then face Norway two days later.

All but two members of the squad for the Nordics are eligible for this summer’s FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup which takes place in Canada between 5-24 August.

England have been drawn in Group C for the summer showpiece, alongside Nigeria, South Korea and Mexico.
