Roy Hodgson's team test out Arena da Amazonia
With just 24 hours to go until their World Cup opener in Manaus, Roy Hodgson's team trained at Arena da Amazonia.

The Three Lions face Italy at 6pm local time on Saturday, and their session at the match venue took place at around the same time.

It gave Hodgson and his team the chance to feel just what it will be like when the whistle finally blows for the start of their long-awaited 2014 World Cup opener.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the only member of the squad who didn't train as he continues his recovery from a knee injury sustained in Miami last week.

Meanwhile, in the press conference prior to training, Hodgson confirmed that Danny Welbeck would be fit for selection and the Manchester United striker look in fine fettle as he worked with the rest of the players.

Though it was warm, the session took place on the pitch entirely in the shade, as the sun in Manaus dipped.

When they kick-off against the Italians, it will be dark so the Three Lions got a good idea of what to expect.
