World Cup Wrap: Day 2
It has begun! Brazil kicked-off the World Cup last night with a 3-1 win over Croatia.

But the excitement was not limited to Sao Paulo as the other 30 nations prepare for the start of their own World Cup adventures.

We’ve got a triple header of action today – Mexico v Cameroon, Spain v Holland and Chile v Australia – but let’s see if you like this hat-trick of stories coming out of South America.

An armchair supporter

It wouldn’t be a World Cup without Diego Maradona.

Although the man with the Hand of God will not be leading his country into the tournament as he did four years ago, he’s still up to his crazy antics.

The Argentina legend showed off all of his acting talents as he dressed-up as an armchair to promote a new mobile app in South America.

Check it out for yourself above.

Messi and Ronanldinho reunited

No, your eyes are not deceiving you.

Okay, they are – but just for a second you were convinced that you were looking at Brazilian legend Ronaldinho chatting to Lionel Messi.

Messi was confronted by a number of well-wishers who invaded the field during Argentina’s open training session, but one stood out more than most.

The star striker and his team-mates couldn’t contain their laughter after one fan, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Ronaldinho, made it through for a chat.

Portuguese plans up in the air

Cristiano Ronaldo cast aside any doubts about his fitness as he conquered this unique jumping exercise at Portugal’s training ground.

With a ball dangling from an NFL post, Ronny and his Real Madrid team-mate and fellow countryman Pepe embarked on an unusual challenge – with the Ballon D'Or winner showing all of his competitive nature to make sure he was not outdone.

He misses with his first attempt, before watching Pepe show him up by landing his header first time.

The persistent Ronaldo refuses to give up though, and tries again successfully before celebrating.

Heads up!
