Roy Hodgson will remain as England manager, despite England's elimination from the World Cup, said FA Chairman Greg Dyke.
The 2-1 defeat to Uruguay, followed by Costa Rica's victory over Italy, means the Three Lions will head home after their final Group D game on Tuesday.
And Dyke says The FA are behind Hodgson with their Euro 2016 campaign starting in September.
"We're supportive of Roy Hodgson, we've asked him to stay as manager," Dyke said on Friday.
"That is the view of myself, of everybody else here (in Brazil) and of others in The FA."
He added: "We do not see any value in changing, we think Roy has done a good job and it is an approach over four years and we hope to do better in the European Championship."
England's two games in Brazil so far have ended in 2-1 defeats against Italy in Manaus, and then Uruguay in Sao Paulo.
"Everybody thought we played really well in the first game and narrowly lost.
"In the second game it could have gone either way. We were not humiliated or anything like that. They were narrow defeats, but it is for the football people, not for me, to identify why we did not win.
"We know that we have a problem, that there are not as many English players playing in the Premier League, or even the Championship, now as there used to be.
"That is what we have got to go from and I don't think that is a cause for what has happened here."
