As football fans across the globe braced for the vacuum of the first 'rest day' of the 2014 World Cup on Friday, there was still plenty going on in Brazil to make headlines - including England's very own Chris 'Kammy' Kamara's act of heroism on the streets of Rio...
Kammy the have-a-go-hero
Everyone's favourite former footballer turned pundit Chris Kamara has been in Brazil taking in some of the action - but would have not have expected to have become involved in his own unique brand of vigilante policing.
While out enjoying the Rio sunshine, Kammy witnessed a street robbery and subsequently chased down and apprehended the perpetrator - before the police arrived and arrested the suspect.
Kammy quickly took to Twitter to share his experience with the world.
"Not lost me pace!!! I just caught this street robber. Done in now though," he Tweeted.
But in true Kammy style, the next picture he posted did not have him looking quite so jubilant, as he struggled his way through the language barrier, giving his statement to the Brazilian police.
Dutch victory would be out of this world...
If Holland go on to lift the World Cup for the first time in their nation's history - they have each been promised a trip to outer space by a Dutch travel company.
The organisation's co-founder Michiel Mol said: “An unearthly performance deserves an unearthly reward."
“We are going to try to literally lift them to a higher level.103 kilometers."
” The company is hoping to offer commercial flights into space from next year. If this is achieved, then Oranje could get their space voyage in 2016."
If Louis van Gaal's men could pull it off, it would put an entirely new meaning on the term 'The Flying Dutchman'...
From flying Dutchmen to a flying Frenchman...
In Friday's Wrap we brought you Arsene Wenger's sublime volleying skills - and today new footage has emerged of the Frenchman showing off some even more flamboyant skills on the beaches of Rio.
He may have bid farewell to Robin van Persie two years ago, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has emulated the Dutch striker's stunning diving header against Spain in the first round of group stage game.
Wenger, who is currently in Brazil working as a pundit for French TV, took some time off from his official duties to take part in a spot of beach football on Ipanema Beach.
Also involved in the impromptu kickabout were former - and significantly younger - French stars Christian Karembeu and Bixente Lizarzu, but it was the agility of the 64-year-old that caught the eye of the locals.
