The FA has teamed up with Tickets For Troops to offer the servicemen and women of our armed forces 1,000 tickets available for the England v Denmark friendly at Wembley Stadium.
Tickets For Troops, which provides free tickets to members of the armed forces for a variety of sporting, music, theatre and cultural events has a long-standing partnership with The FA.
Since the charity began in 2009, over 50% of tickets donated have come from the sporting world with 100,000 of them being tickets for football fixtures.
The FA donated 22,000 tickets last year alone for international and domestic fixtures.
Tickets For Troops (www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk) has over 135,000 members of the military registered and has distributed nearly 500,000 tickets for events ranging from The Olympics and Paralympics, England football, the rugby Premiership, top-class cricket, darts, horse racing and snooker as well as major theatre performances and music events.
Patron Steven Gerrard said “Young men and women are risking their lives every day and Tickets for Troops is a very simple way of respecting their courage and their sacrifices.”
Chairman Lord Marland said: “Tickets for Troops has benefited from a great wave of generosity from our ticket donors and patrons who have wanted to demonstrate their support and appreciation of the dedication and commitment of the marvellous men and women from our forces.
"I want to thank The FA not only for being one of our leading ticket providers, but also for their great generosity in dedicating this game to our armed forces during these difficult times.”
