Arsene Wenger says The FA Cup is the priority for Arsenal this weekend – purely because it gives his team a chance to get back to winning ways.

The Gunners face Everton in the Sixth Round on Saturday, knowing that a win will take them into the Semi-Finals at Wembley.

And after a defeat in the Premier League at Stoke City last weekend, Wenger sees this game as a good opportunity to both restore confidence in his squad and move one step closer to honours.

And after a defeat in the Premier League at Stoke City last weekend, Wenger sees this game as a good opportunity to both restore confidence in his squad and move one step closer to honours.

"It is one of the priorities," admitted Wenger on Friday.

"The FA Cup is our next game and after a very disappointing result against Stoke, it's important for us to come back with a strong result.

"And The FA Cup is our absolute priority because it's our next game."

Arsenal haven’t won The FA Cup since 2005 and their last Semi-Final appearance came in 2009, when they were beaten by Chelsea.

But with the Londoners only two wins away from The Final and also challenging in the Premier League title chase and Europe, Wenger sees the game as a good chance to start building some momentum.

"It's the quarter final of The FA Cup and we want to do well," he added.

"We want to qualify [for the Semi-Final] and to win - that's the best way for us to prepare for the other games."
