Luke Shaw is already one of the world’s best defenders, according to Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Saints left-back has enjoyed an impressive season at St. Mary’s under the charge of former Argentina defender Pochettino.
After making his England debut against Denmark earlier this month, the 18-year-old has already been linked with a number of top clubs, including Spanish giants Real Madrid.

And Pochettino believes it should come as no surprise that the former England Under-21s star is being talked about in those circles.
"He can play at Real Madrid or he can play in the world starting XI," said the Saints boss, who also claimed Shaw’s Southampton and England team-mate Adam Lallana would be good enough for Spain or Brazil earlier this season.
"He really has the quality to do so. I am not sure if he is one [of the best left-backs in the world] already. I think so.

Despite his tender years, Shaw has already made over 50 appearances in the Premier League after coming through Southampton’s academy ranks.
And he was capped by England at U16, U17 and Under-21 level prior to his first senior call-up this year.
