The Everton boss guided former club Wigan Athletic to one of the biggest Cup upsets in history last May when his side beat Manchester City at Wembley courtesy of a late goal from Ben Watson.
And he now sees no reason why Steve Bruce’s side can’t spring a similar result against the Gunners when they meet under the Arch on Saturday.

"The reality in a Final is, if you could choose, you would want to be underdogs," said Martinez, after leading Everton to a 2-0 victory over Hull on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
"I think the secret is to embrace that tag.
"It's a day for everyone at Hull City to enjoy because it's a real achievement to get to The Final.
"But the reality is the pressure is on Arsenal and you can't really beat being in that position."
Since their Semi-Final victory over Sheffield United at Wembley last month, Hull have failed to pick up another win in their subsequent league games.
They have lost four out of those five matches to end the campaign with a whimper, before the Cup Final brings the curtain down on the season.
But Martinez feels that will all be forgotten by the time they are back at Wembley and gearing up for the game with Arsene Wenger’s side, themselves looking to end a nine-year trophy drought.
"Hull found it difficult in their Semi-Final because they were favourites," added the Spaniard.
"But you can see them going to The Final as the opposite and I expect Hull to perform well because of the flexibility the team has.
"Steve Bruce, over the last two years, has given the team real tactical know-how, and if they can control the occasion, Hull City have a fantastic opportunity."
