Tom Huddlestone could not hide his disappointment after Hull City relinquished a 2-0 lead in The FA Cup Final
Goals from James Chester and Curtis Davies gave Steve Bruce’s side an early advantage over Arsenal at Wembley Stadium.
But the Gunners bounced back with goals from Santi Cazorla, Laurent Koscielny and an extra-time winner from Aaron Ramsey to end the north London club’s nine-year trophy drought.
Midfielder Huddlestone told FATV: “Obviously the lads are devastated.
“A club like ourselves probably shouldn’t be getting to Cup Finals and for us to be here and be 2-0 in front, I’m just devastated to lose the game.
“A club our size, our priority is to stay in the Premier League. If we look back in a few weeks [we will realise] it’s probably been a good season overall but for a few days it will feel like it’s been a disastrous one.
“But if we look at the bigger picture it has been a good season.”
