Joe Hart says he can't let his standards slip as he looks to secure the number one jersey in England's starting eleven this summer.
The Manchester City goalkeeper has become a regular in the Three Lions goal after returning from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he was cover for David James and Robert Green.
The 27-year-old has now chalked up 39 caps, while at club level, he's been fairly immovable also. But a dip in form earlier this season meant he spent a spell on the side-lines at the Etihad.

However, he fought to earn his place back as Manuel Pellegrini's first choice and admits he must always fight for the position with fierce competition for places for club and country.
"I’ve got no right to play in every game whether that’s for Manchester City or England," Hart said in the official England v Peru matchday programme.
"I know that if your standards drop there are some very good players ready to take your place for both club and country. I just have to keep pushing myself to be the best.
"We have some fantastic talent goalkeeping-wise, and have a great coach in Dave Watson.
"I’m fully aware that we have the likes of John [Ruddy], who’s doing well at Norwich in a difficult season, Ben [Foster] has had a fantastic season at West Brom, Fraser [Forster] has kept clean-sheet after clean-sheet for Celtic, while Jack [Butland] wasn’t getting game-time at his parent club but was willing to go out on loan and is doing well in the Under-21s.
"I’m fully aware of what’s around me and it’s an enjoyable position to be in. I’m just fighting hard to keep it. I have to perform well and that was the only thing that was on my mind, that I wanted to get back playing at the level that they needed me at."
Hart, Foster and Forster in training
Hart's season ended in ultimate triumph as City edged a tight title race by two points on the final day of the season.
It put another Premier League winners' medal in his personal trophy cabinet, but also took his focus away from national duty.
But now he's in the England camp and the World Cup is looming, Hart - like the Three Lions' loyal fans - can't think of anything else but Brazil this summer
"I’ve always worked on the idea that when I’m with my club it’s club football and we had a lot going on obviously," admitted Hart.
"There was a lot of World Cup talk, but I was able to put that to the back of my mind. But now the whole focus is on this summer, my whole life revolves around it.
"I’m incredibly excited and really optimistic with the players we have in the squad."
He added: "If we go out and perform in Brazil we could really shape the summer for the fans.
"We’ll give everything when we are there, like every fan would if they were in the same position as us. If we do well it puts the whole country in a good mood."
