The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club expects its strongest ever coaching conference attendance figures this winter.
Over 1,500 coaches are expected at St George’s Park for this year’s conference season, which for the first time includes three events focusing on different areas of the game and again recognises the profession of coaching with the prestigious Annual Coaching Awards.
This year’s conference season kicks off later this month with The FA’s first-ever Futsal conference, A Catalyst for Change, with a second new conference for heads of recruitment, scouts and coaches working in Talent Identification following in December.
The annual coaching conference, titled Playing Your Part then closes the year with a programme designed around The FA’s new emerging England DNA and delivered by a mixture of FA and elite coaches, including England’s Gareth Southgate and Dan Ashworth, and a Gala Dinner with special guest Roy Hodgson.

Jamie Houchen, Head of FA Learning, underlined the progress made in delivering educational conferences to football audiences.
“This year is a significant event for The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club on the back of becoming the largest coaching membership scheme in the world with over 30,000 members.
“To be able to put on three major events and to support over 1,500 delegates with bespoke and engaging content is a mark of how far the Coaches’ Club has come since its launch in 2011,” he said.
“The team has worked exceptionally hard to provide these unique educational conferences that I am sure will deliver a fantastic learning experience for all attendees.
"The emerging DNA enables us to build on the success of The Future Game principles and now cascade throughout the game the different ways in which coaches can play their part and contribute to the success of developing players."
Leading the efforts to deliver all three events is Lisa Hollis, FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Manager, who joined Houchen this week in expressing her delight at the positive response from coaches. She is confident that attendees will be treated to a “first-class learning experience”.
“To have over 1,500 coaches attending this year’s conference events is fantastic,” she said.
“Our conferences are consistently a highlight each season, and this year we have worked hard to ensure that each one can deliver a first-class learning experience.
“Our key aim is to inspire every coach who attends so that they feel energised and enthused to play their part, and can return to their clubs armed with new ideas to share with their players. It is going to be a great end to the year."
Open to coaches of all levels, tickets are still available for all three conferences with ticket details available below.
